So here we are, with a new record on your player. In the first place, it was supposed to be an all-acoustic album with lots of classy strings and a timeless feel. I also wanted to record it very quickly and not obsess about each and every detail, for a change. After a year and a half of recording sessions, a few too many sleepless nights and things not always going according to plan, it’s fair to say I failed. :) Over time, the record progressively strayed from my initial ideas, songs got built and destroyed, stripped or adorned. And I of course obsessed over each and every detail. But all that extra time focused on the album also meant spending more time with these songs that I’m proud of and with the people involved in the process behind them – and that was awesome. Thank you for spending some of your time with my music, I hope you like it as it is. Nils.
